Sahara India Refund List:Once again there is relief news for lakhs of investors of Sahara India family. The Central Government has released the new Sahara India Refund List 2025 to return the money stuck for years to Sahara investors. This step has brought a ray of hope for those who had invested their hard-earned money in various cooperative societies of Sahara. This new initiative has brought smiles on the faces of investors.

After the strict orders of the Supreme Court, the process of Sahara refund is now gaining momentum. Money is being transferred directly to the bank accounts of investors. To make this work easy and transparent, the government has started CRCS Sahara Refund Portal under the supervision of Home Minister Amit Shah.

Through this portal, investors can file their claims online and get their money back. The names of thousands of new investors have been included in the latest Sahara India Refund List of October 2025, who are going to get the payment of the first or second installment soon.

What is Sahara India Refund List?

Sahara India Pariwar’s troubles began in 2011 when SEBI declared their OFCD scheme illegal. After this, in 2012, the Supreme Court ordered Sahara to deposit Rs 24,000 crore with SEBI so that their money could be returned to the investors. This matter remained stuck in the courts for years, but in 2023, Home Minister Amit Shah started a new and transparent system by launching the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal. Under this scheme, refunds are being given to investors of four major Sahara Cooperative Societies:

  • Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited (SCCSL)
  • Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited (SUMSL)
  • Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited (HICCSL)
  • Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited (SMCSL)

Highlights of the new refund list of 2025

The latest Sahara India Refund List 2025 includes the names of those investors who completed their documents and their data has been verified. This time, an amount of Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 is being sent to every eligible investor in their Aadhaar linked bank accounts through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT). This process is being done in a completely transparent and phased manner.

The Union Cooperative Ministry has made it clear that investors whose names did not appear in the list this time will get a chance in the next phase. Also, those whose documents are incomplete will be contacted soon and asked to complete the information.

How to apply for refund?

Applying for a refund on the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal is very easy. Investors can follow these steps from their mobile or computer:

  • Go to the portal and select “Depositor Registration” option.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and bank account details.

  • Once the application is approved, the money is usually deposited into the bank account in 45-60 days.

Role and transparency of government

This entire campaign is running under the supervision of the Union Ministry of Cooperation. The government has initially sanctioned Rs 5000 crore so that investors can get relief soon. The entire process is digital, so there is no scope for corruption. Most importantly, the money goes directly into the investor’s account through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT), which eliminates the possibility of fraud.

The future path for investors

Till now lakhs of investors have received the payment of the first or second installment. The government has indicated that names of more investors will be added to the Sahara India Refund List in the next few months. If the documents are correct, there is a plan to return the money of all investors in a phased manner. The Cooperative Ministry aims to provide relief to most investors in the next nine months.
