Venezuela Fury has revealed her boyfriend was terrified about how her father Tyson Fury would react to his plan of asking for marriage at her sweet 16th birthday.
Noah went down on one knee after previously asking the former heavyweight world champion boxer for his permission to do so.
Despite being “very shocked”, Venezuela gladly accepted the proposal, and she later learned that Noah had “palpitations” before summoning the courage to speak to her famous father about it.
In an interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, she said: “I think any boy would be scared of my dad!
“But it’s the respectful thing to do. He said he was having palpitations about doing it, he was all kinds of nervous. It went well, though. My dad wouldn’t interfere, he’s very supportive of whatever I do. He’s very happy for us.”
Noah also does boxing on the side and Venezuela joked that it was something he could talk about with her old man.
Venezuela’s mum meanwhile, Paris, 35, believes her husband Tyson, 37, will be full of emotion on the big day.
She told The Sun: “I think Tyson will get teary and emotional giving Venezuela away. He might be strong, but underneath he is softer than I am.”
The mum-of-seven added: “If he is feeling the love that day, he will be balling. She’s our daughter. Hopefully, it’s not too close in the future, though. We hope Venezuela has time to embrace her engagement.”
Paris said she had an “inkling” that Noah would pop the big question before he sought permission.
And speaking of that, she said: “It’s an old fashioned tradition, Tyson asked my dad for his permission to propose to me, we believe in that. But when it happened, I was so nervous and my hands were shaking.”
Paris married Tyson when she was 17 and she explained that travellers traditionally tied the knot at a young age.
She also appeared on This Morning last week and said her influencer daughter was mature for her age and she had no concerns about her making such a big commitment.
The mum added: “I can't deny her because I was 17 when I got engaged. She's obviously following in my footsteps, so how can I judge her in any way? I know she's young. But I think she's found the person she loves and if she's happy, I will completely support her.”
Bride-to-be Venezuela, who starred in the Netflix show At Home With The Furys alongside her family, also said she has not yet met her in-laws who live a “few hours” away.
However, she said she is not planning on having her big day until she gets the opportunity to do so. She also added that she was unsure where her and Noah would live after becoming husband and wife.
