Escape To The Chateau fans are in for a delightful surprise as Dick and Angel Strawbridge have revealed their comeback to television with a 'magical' fresh series. The cherished reality programme chronicles the pair's journey with their youngsters, Dorothy, 10, and Arthur, 12, whilst they renovate their 19th-century French chateau, Chateau de la Motte-Husson, situated in Martigne-sur-Mayenne. Escape To The Chateau initially appeared on Channel 4 in 2015 and delivered nine triumphant series before wrapping up in 2022.

The married couple have now turned to Instagram to declare their television comeback with a preview snippet of what audiences can anticipate witnessing, reports The Mirror. Accompanying the announcement, they informed their supporters: "We are delighted to announce that we are officially back in production for Escape to the Chateau, Series 10!'It's been wonderful welcoming back our Escape filming family - the unsung heroes behind the cameras."

The duo added: "Since we first fell in love with the Chateau in 2014, it has taken us on the journey of a lifetime. In 2022, we made the important decision to take a break from filming and concluded Series 9 with the most incredible and magical celebration we could have ever imagined.

"Now, as a family, we've stepped into a new era," they went on, before disclosing their offspring will remain central to the programme.

"With Arthur and Dorothy happily settled into college, Series 10 brings more change and growth than the Chateau has ever seen," they revealed. The statement continued: "We promised that when the time was right for our family, we'd invite the cameras back in to give you an update - and maybe even a Christmas Special... and that time is now!"

The Strawbridges then revealed: "Thank you for being part of our story - we can't wait to share this next magical chapter with you."

The comments section was swamped with thrilled responses from supporters as one declared: "My husband and I have started rewatching the series from the beginning, so this is brilliant! Cannot wait to see it."

A second replied: "Oh, I'm excited for this! I think a rewatch of 1-9 in preparation is in order."

And a third proclaimed: "THAT IS SO EXCITING! ! ! ! In probably the toughest year of my life, this is something to look forward to! Can't wait! The best news!".

The announcement arrives more than two years after Channel 4's reported choice to end their relationship with the duo.

The move followed Two Rivers Media, the production company behind the programme, announcing it would cease working with the couple after expressing worries about their behaviour.

According to Deadline, a following independent inquiry by Channel 4 led to the broadcaster cutting all connections with the pair.
