New Delhi, October 21 (Read): Telecom operator Vodafone Idea (You) has introduced a new 180-day prepaid plan priced at ₹1149aimed at users seeking long-term service validity with essential calling and messaging benefits. The plan is designed primarily for customers who focus on voice connectivity rather than heavy data usage.
Under the new ₹1149 prepaid plan, users will get:
Unlimited voice calling across all networks
1,800 SMS for the entire validity period
20GB of data for six months
Once the 20GB data limit is exhausted, users will be charged 50 paise per MB for additional data usage. Similarly, after the SMS quota, messages will cost ₹1 for local and ₹1.5 for STD SMS.
The daily cost of the plan works out to roughly ₹6.38 per daymaking it one of the most affordable long-validity options in the market.
The plan targets users who mainly rely on calls and basic internet usage but want to maintain active service without frequent recharges. Customers can top up with data vouchers whenever additional data is required. These data add-ons now come with their own standalone validitygiving users more flexibility.
Vi’s ₹2249 annual plan offers double the benefits—unlimited calling, 3,600 SMSand 40GB data—with a 365-day validity. The ₹1149 plan essentially serves as its half-year counterpart, providing proportional benefits for a lower upfront cost.
Unlike Vi’s other packs, this plan does not include unlimited data, night dataor entertainment-based offers. It is purely focused on essential services at a reasonable price point.
The ₹1149 plan is available across all telecom circles and is expected to help Vodafone Idea retain low-usage subscribers by providing a long-duration, budget-friendly option for keeping SIMs active.
