Fans have praised the "epic" Western series that has flown under the radar for many TV fans. With so much available on streaming services nowadays, it is not surprising that some things get missed by many viewers. After all, we can't watch absolutely everything there is to watch. For fans of western movies, there is plenty on offer, from classic western movies to more modern entries into the genre. Meanwhile, there are also plenty of Western TV series, such as Yellowjackets, available to stream.

However, there is one Western show that you might have missed, and some people have called it a "television masterpiece". Even though it has some pretty big Hollywood names, it has been missed by many people who might have never even heard of it. Outer Range premiered in 2022 and is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. There are two seasons, and the show stars some amazing talent, including Josh Brolin and Lewis Pullman.

Outer Range is a western that incorporates elements of sci-fi to create a truly unique story. Reviews of the show are pretty positive, and it has a score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Outer Range follows the Abbott family, who are coping with the disappearance of their daughter-in-law. Their neighbouring Tillerson family make a play for their ranch land, and tensions rise when a mysterious black hole appears on the Abbot's pasture.

One TV reviewer, Dustin Rowles, called Outer Range a "goddamn television masterpiece". Other reviewers heaped on the praise for the show.

One IMDb reviewer said: "Outer Range is enjoyable in so many levels including the music and the epic, incredible photography and landscapes. But the most important aspect if this minimalistic suspense at the level of Arrival. Honestly this is the only series I've been hooked completely since the first episode."

Another said: "It's great to see a drama that takes bold risks with storytelling and, had it fallen flat, it would still be laudable for that intention alone. But it doesn't fall flat - it works as a fine, ambitious piece of quality, high-end TV."

A third wrote: "The whole story is very clever, me and my wife both think this is one of the best series that we have seen in the last couple of years and can highly recommend to watch. I can only say that if you liked Yellowstone and love sci-fi then you will not be disappointed."
