Chandigarh, October 24 – Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Chairman Shri Himmat Singh, while clarifying to the candidates and the general public regarding the confusion being spread on social media and other mediums regarding the correction portal of Group-C Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025, said that some people are deliberately creating confusion among the candidates by spreading wrong information. The Commission clarifies the following facts in this regard so that no candidate becomes a victim of confusion and the process can be conducted smoothly.
Chairman, Haryana Staff Selection Commission said that the CET 2025 correction portal has been opened in compliance with the clear orders of the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court. This portal is being operated only under the interim order passed in court case number 17581/2025 (Sheetal and others vs. State of Haryana and others). The Commission is fully following the orders of the court.
He said that this correction portal has been opened only for those candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS), who had submitted their application in General Category due to lack of valid certificate. Those candidates who belong to the above three reserved categories and who are now in possession of valid certificates have been provided the only opportunity to make correction in their original reserved category. This facility is only for certificate based category change and no other type of correction is allowed.
Himmat Singh said that some people are trying to spread misinformation by editing and distorting a voice recording and making it viral on social media. The Commission strongly condemns such activities and requests the candidates to get information only from the official website www.hssc.gov.in and official social media handles. Shri Himmat Singh has appealed to all the candidates, coaching operators, social media influencers and the general public not to spread any kind of confusion regarding the correction portal and anyone should refrain from commenting on the orders of the Honorable High Court.
The Commission should be allowed to carry out its work unhindered while respecting the judicial process. All the information issued by the Commission from time to time is made available on the official website only. Ignore any rumors and believe only in verified information.
