New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has initiated the application process for the recruitment of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Technical for the year 2025. Candidates aspiring to become Intelligence Officers can apply through the official website of the ministry and the provided application form. The deadline for submitting applications is November 16, 2025.
Out of a total of 258 vacancies, 90 are allocated for Computer Science and Information Technology, while 168 are for Electronics and Communication. The salary range for both disciplines is between ₹44,900 and ₹1,42,400 (Level 7).
Eligibility Criteria for IB ACIO Recruitment 2025
Applicants must achieve the qualifying cut-off in the GATE examination conducted in 2023, 2024, or 2025 in either Computer Science and Information Technology or Electronics and Communication, along with holding a bachelor's degree in the relevant field. Candidates should be aged between 18 and 27 years as of November 16, 2025.
Selection Process for IB ACIO Recruitment 2025
- Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test and interview based solely on their GATE scores, with a ratio of 10 candidates for each vacancy. The interview and skill tests will take place in Delhi.
- A final merit list will be created based on GATE scores, skill tests, and interviews, with the final selection contingent upon character verification and medical examinations. Details regarding the interview and other procedures will be communicated to candidates via email.
- The skill test will be technical in nature and aligned with the job profile, while the interview will assess subject knowledge and communication skills in relevant areas.
- The total scoring system comprises 1175 points, with 750 points allocated for the GATE score, 250 points for the skill test, and 175 points for the interview.
