Unknown Callers’ names will now be visible news in hindi

Now it will be easier for mobile users to identify calls coming from unknown persons.

Caller ID Feature: Mobile users will now be able to easily identify spam, junk and marketing calls. Under this, the name of the caller will also be visible along with the number on the calling screen. For this, the Department of Telecommunications and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) have instructed telecom companies to start this service in any one circle within a week. As soon as this service is implemented, the name of the caller will also be visible along with the number on the call. (Unknown Callers’ names will now be visible news in Hindi)

Fraud will be controlled

The name visible on the caller screen will be the same as the user mentioned in his ID while purchasing the mobile number. This will be a default feature and if a user does not want to use it then he will have to deactivate it. Let us tell you that telecom companies have conducted trials regarding this service in Mumbai and Haryana last year.

In February last year, TRAI had recommended the ‘Calling Name Presentation’ service to the DoT and said it should be activated only when the user receiving the call requests it. In response, the Department of Telecommunications suggested to TRAI that this service should be on by default and the user who does not want to use it can deactivate it. TRAI has accepted this suggestion.

This step by TRAI and the Department of Telecommunications is expected to help in stopping fraud calls. Now users will be able to know even before picking up the call whether the call is being made by someone they know or an unknown person is trying to contact them. With this, people will avoid falling into the trap of hackers and scammers and will be safe from cyber crimes.
