Mumbai Zarine Katrak, wife of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan, has passed away at the age of 81. She was suffering from age diseases for some time. He breathed his last on Friday morning at his residence in Mumbai. Zareen is survived by her husband and children Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan and Zayed Khan.

Who was Zareen Katrak?

Zarine Katrak was a famous model, actress and interior designer. Who made their mark in the 1960s and 1970s. Known for her amazing beauty and poise, she was among those early faces. Who helped shape India’s fashion and advertising industry. Zareen also appeared in Hindi films, with notable roles in films such as Tere Ghar Ke Samne (1963), where she starred opposite Dev Anand. However, she was known beyond her on-screen presence for her marriage to actor-director Sanjay Khan. The couple met and eventually married in the late 1960s, becoming one of the most glamorous couples in Bollywood social circles. Despite the glamor surrounding her life, Zareen mostly stayed away from the limelight and focused on her family and home.

Beyond her public identity, Zareen was admired for her elegance, artistic sensitivity, and strength in maintaining grace amidst personal and professional challenges. In 2021, Sussanne took to her Instagram handle to share pictures with her mother on the occasion of her birthday. Wrote that strong women do not become victims, they do not make themselves miserable, there may be storms in their hearts, yet their smiles will be full of love and forgiveness. The thing is that they enjoy life to the fullest and feel that there is nothing to complain about. My mom, you are an embodiment of grace and strength, so I am grateful to you. Happy birthday mom, you are my favorite person. We have learned all this from you.
