New Highway: Now the journey from Ayodhya Dham, the city of Lord Shri Ram, to the famous religious places of Barabanki like Lodheshwar Mahadev, Kotwadham, Kunteshwar Mahadev and Parijat Tirtha is going to become easier. The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the construction of a new state highway to connect these holy sites with a better road network. After the completion of this project, the journey between Ayodhya and Barabanki will not only become easier, but religious tourism will also get a new impetus.
The highway will be 52 kilometers long
The new state highway will be built starting from Bhelsar in Ayodhya to Ramnagar in Barabanki via Sujaganj, Tikaitnagar. The total length of this route will be about 52 kilometers. This highway will pass through several important religious places, prominent among which are Kotwadham, where the temple of Baba Jagjivan Das, the founder of the Satnami sect, is located, and Lodheshwar Mahadev Temple in Ramnagar, which is a famous pilgrimage site in North India. Lakhs of devotees come here for darshan during Sawan, Mahashivratri and Mondays.
Construction will be done in 3 phases
On the proposal of Minister of State Satish Chandra Sharma, this highway project has been divided into three phases. In the first phase, the eight kilometer long stretch from Bhelsar to Sujaganj (Barai) will be built by the Public Works Department, Ayodhya. In the second phase, about 27 km long road will be constructed from Barai to Kotwadham, the estimated cost of which is about Rs 100 crore and this work has been entrusted to Public Works Division-1 Barabanki. In the third phase, about 17 km long road will be built from Kotwadham to Ramnagar, which will further connect to the National Highway Bahraich-Barabanki.
Will connect these towns together
The Uttar Pradesh government has allotted the state highway code SH-127 to this new route. It will be developed as a two-lane road with paved shoulder, to ensure both vehicular movement and safety. After the construction of the highway, more than two hundred villages and towns falling between Ramnagar and Bhelsar will get direct benefits, of which Kunteshwar Marg, Parijat Marg of Baraulia, Markamau, Badosarayan, Tikaitnagar, Baringbagh, Kudha, Barai and Sujaganj are the prominent ones.
