Kelly Brook may be eagerly anticipating her stint in the I'm A Celebrity camp but she could be heading for an uncomfortable reunion with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
The 45-year-old model has been confirmed as part of this year's ITV reality contest line-up, joining the likes of Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley and Angry Ginge.
However, it's her previous encounters with Geordie duo Ant and Dec that could stir up some painful memories for Kelly. Despite the widespread adoration for the popular presenters, Kelly holds more "upsetting" recollections of the pair.
Back in 2009, Simon Cowell invited Kelly to join the judging panel on Britain's Got Talent, but her tenure lasted a mere six days. At the time, show boss Simon harshly attributed her departure to the failure of the four-judge format.
Kelly, however, pointed the finger at Ant and Dec, accusing them of "ruining her career". It's believed this outburst has caused tension between the three ever since, reports the Mirror.
She also previously claimed that ITV insiders told her that having upset Ant and Dec meant her chances of working on British television were over.
Dec touched upon the fallout in his memoir titled Ooh! What a Lovely Pair: Our Story. He wrote: "Kelly looked nervous, so I told her it was going to be great fun and to just relax and enjoy it.
"She nodded, then looked at me and said, 'And what do you do on the show?' I looked at Simon, who was sat next to me, he turned to Kelly and said, 'Kelly, you have seen the show, haven't you?' To which she replied, 'Yeah... well, bits'."
An insider revealed to The Sun that heated words were exchanged on both sides, leading to increased tension over time.
The source stated: "It's been a long time since they last worked together so understandably there is apprehension on both sides.
"Kelly is determined for I'm A Celebrity to be a massive success - in stark contrast to her last experience working with Ant and Dec. It's nerve-wracking that after such a bitter fallout, they'll now be work together in such close proximity."
However, the insider assured that the past won't be brought up during the show's airing, stating it would be "weird" and "plain awkward" for any discussion to occur on the show.
Before jetting off to Brisbane for the show, Kelly reportedly left a secret stash of food at home for her beloved dog. Expressing her feelings about leaving home while at Heathrow Airport, she said: "I am going to miss my dog Teddy and my husband Jeremy."
An insider told The Sun: "Kelly is besotted with Teddy and he is used to fine dining, so Kelly spent all hours making sure the freezer was piled high with his special dinners."
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, November 16
