Hisar Airport: Preparations are underway to further strengthen Haryana’s Hisar Airport in the country’s air network. This year, in the winter season running from 26 October 2025 to 28 March 2026, the number of flights in Hisar will be increased by about 6% compared to last year. However, the new flight schedule will come into effect from November 26.
Hisar Airport will benefit
With the implementation of the new schedule, the connectivity of Hisar Airport will increase. This will provide passengers with direct flights to other cities and airlines will get an opportunity to operate on new routes. This will help cities like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai to become global aviation hubs.
Flight numbers will increase from November
The new winter schedule at Maharaja Agrasen Airport will come into effect from November 26. Under this, Hisar-Jaipur, Hisar-Ayodhya and Hisar-Delhi flights will now operate twice a week. Whereas Hisar-Chandigarh flight will fly three days a week.
change compared to before
Earlier, Hisar-Ayodhya, Hisar-Delhi and Hisar-Jaipur flights used to fly only once a week. Chandigarh flight used to fly two days a week i.e. Wednesday and Saturday. At present, no plans have been made to start new flights from Hisar to Jammu and Ahmedabad.
boost economic activities
According to the Civil Aviation Ministry, the new schedule focuses on expanding regional connectivity of airlines and better connectivity in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The connection of Hisar, Amravati, Purnia and Rupsi is expected to increase local and regional economic activities.
Expansion of regional connectivity
A total of 26,495 weekly flights have been approved from 126 airports across the country. The summer schedule 2025 saw 25,610 flights operated from 129 airports. New airports like Hisar and Amravati reflect the expansion of regional connectivity. During the winter season, flight operations at Aligarh, Moradabad, Chitrakoot, Bhavnagar, Ludhiana, Pakyong and Shravasti airports have been suspended.
