However, in Muslim society, being buried in the holy city of Mecca is considered lucky. Some people also believe that if someone dies during Hajj or Umrah, then he gets a place in Jannat i.e. heaven. saudi arabia rules

If a person dies due to natural causes or accident while performing Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, then he is buried according to Islamic customs in Saudi Arabia itself. In the religion of Islam, people consider it their good fortune to be buried in holy cemeteries like Jannat-ul-Baqi or Jannat-ul-Mualla.

Where is Namaz-e-Janaza held?

If a Haji dies during his stay in Mecca, Mina or Muzdalifah, his Namaz-e-Janaza is offered in Masjid al-Haram or Kaaba Sharif. Namaz is offered in Masjid-e-Nabavi in case of loss of life in Medina. If a Haji dies in Jeddah or anywhere else, his Namaz-e-Janaza is offered in the local mosque.

considered lucky

In case of death during Hajj and Umrah, the pilgrim is buried in his own shroud, because the people going on this pilgrimage bring a white cloth with them and this is called shroud. If he dies during the journey, he is wrapped in this cloth and buried. There is a belief among the Muslim community about Mecca and Medina that it is lucky for them to be buried in the soil here.

Where is the burial done?

Most Muslims are buried in the 'Jannat-ul-Baqi' cemetery, also known as "Baqi al-Gharaqad", located in Medina. This is the oldest and the first Islamic cemetery in the city of Medina. There is a belief about this cemetery that many family members and companions of Prophet Muhammad are buried here. It is an Islamic belief that whoever is buried here will go to heaven. Therefore, Haji and his family members want that if he dies during the journey, he should be buried there in Mecca-Medina.

Death during Hajj or Umrah

Often a question comes in people's mind that what will be the reward if I die during Hajj or Umrah. Regarding this, Allah said to His Prophet in the Islamic Hadith, "If someone dies during Hajj or immediately after Hajj, he will be in his harem and will get the status of a martyr. The Hajj will be a witness to the person who dies during Hajj and will intercede for him."

Islamic scholar Salauddin Qasmi said that the Muslims who leave the world in the journey of worship to the house of Allah, not only die, but also get a call to heaven with the mercy of Allah. Only the fortunate ones are destined to become martyrs while worshiping in the House of Allah. In the eyes of the world this is just death, but in the eyes of Muslims this is a call to heaven.

In a hadith the Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever sets out for Hajj and dies, for him the reward of a Haji is recorded until the Day of Judgment. Whoever sets out for Umrah and dies, for him the reward of a person performing Umrah is recorded until the Day of Judgment.”

According to this Hadith, it is known that the reward of a pilgrim who dies during Hajj or Umrah will continue till the Day of Judgment.
