"Fast paced and couldn't wait for the next episode," one fan commented, while another agreed: "Absolutely superb. Brilliant thriller show. Haven't seen anything like that before. Top quality filming, great storyline and fantastic acting. Very refreshing, scary and addictive."
A third penned: "I loved it. I couldn't stop watching it! I watched the whole 1st season in 1 day.. After I started I couldn't put it down until I found out who the killer was! AWESOME."
However, not everyone was convinced, with one viewer arguing: "This is objectively bad. Even the best storytelling could not wrap a scenario with so many loopholes in a positive way."
Another concurred: "Great try, but not well executed. This series jumps the shark 3 episodes in and keeps jumping."
Nevertheless, another fan insisted: "Not sure why the bad reviews. This show is one of very few where almost anyone can be the villain. It keeps the viewer engaged all the way through, wondering who is good and who can't be trusted. Never boring and very exciting and mysterious. All seasons are excellent!"
All three seasons of Absentia are streaming now on Netflix.
