JD Wetherspoon has made a major menu change across its UK pubs from this month as it rolls out its Christmas food selection.
The popular pub chain, which boasts more than 800 locations across the country, has confirmed its Christmas menu will be available in its pubs from now until Wednesday, December 31, with the exception of Christmas Day. The festive meals for 2025 include Wetherspoon's popular dish of sliced turkey breast and winter vegetables, as well as vegan options and a selection of deli sandwiches. The turkey dinner includes four slices of turkey breast, with a pork, sage and onion stuffing, served with roasted Chantenay carrots and parsnips, Maris Piper mash, two pigs-in-blankets, peas, cranberry sauce and gravy.
A festive vegan option is also available which comprises a plant-based patty, garlic and herb sauce, iceberg lettuce, tomato and red onion, topped with mushrooms, and served with five onion rings.
For those keen to step away from the traditional Christmas dinner and opt for something a bit different, Wetherspoon is bringing back The Big Cheese burger.
The pub chain says it has made the burger "even more cheesy this season" by introducing an Emmental and Cheddar cheese sauce on the side. This accompanies a choice of patty topped with Brie slices, two halloumi fries and salad garnish, alongside a serving of chips.
Diners also have the option of Wetherspoon's Brie and bacon burger, chicken and stuffing burger, and a mushroom and garlic burger, which is new for this year and is suitable for vegetarians.
An 11-inch brie and garlic mushroom pizza also features on the menu this year, which includes a soft or alcoholic drink, or there's an eight-inch version available as part of the small plates range.
Cheese fans are well catered for with the menu featuring some festive loaded chips which come topped with lashings of Emmental and Cheddar cheese sauce, pigs-in-blankets and cranberry sauce for dipping.
As for lighter bites, there's an array of deli deals to choose from including a chicken, stuffing, bacon and cranberry panini, a brie and cranberry panini, and a southern-fried chicken and stuffing wrap, all of which include a soft or alcoholic drink, and can be ordered with additional side dishes.
Of course no Christmas menu is complete without dessert and the sweet options this year include a cookies and cream blondie, packed with white chocolate and crushed cookie pieces, served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate cookie crumbs, or a giant profiterole filled with vanilla cream, smothered in Belgian chocolate and topped with a fresh strawberry.
Wetherspoon said customers don't need to book to enjoy the Christmas menu, simply "turn up and enjoy". But the menu will only be around for a limited time until Wednesday, December 31, excluding Christmas Day.
