PM Awas Yojana Registration Process: The registration deadline for the PM Awas Yojana is near. Eligible families should apply immediately. Learn the process.

PM Awas Yojana Registration Process: Owning a home is everyone's dream. However, many people lack sufficient funds to build a home. In such a situation, the Government of India's Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) offers a helping hand. This scheme is available in both urban and rural areas and provides affordable housing to families.

However, the application deadline for this scheme is limited. Therefore, it is important for interested individuals to act immediately. The application process is simple, but it is also important to know the correct documentation and whether you are eligible. Let's explain how you can register for the scheme.

So many days left to apply.

The application window for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is open for only 42 days. This means that applicants who are eligible for the scheme and wish to apply should submit their forms as soon as possible. These window- or campaign-based deadlines often change.

However, it's advisable to apply immediately by visiting the portal or CSC and tracking the status. Previously, there were reports of an extension of the deadline. However, delaying is beneficial. Otherwise, you could miss a good opportunity.

Who can apply?

The applicant's family applying for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana must not own a permanent house anywhere in India. Eligibility is determined based on income: EWS/LIG/MIG income bands are preferred in urban areas, and SECC in rural areas. The same family must not have previously benefited from any government housing benefit.

In rural areas, priority is given to those living in kutcha houses or small houses. Required documents include Aadhaar and Aadhaar-linked mobile number, bank account details, income certificate, identity and address documents. Details like the MGNREGA job card or SBM number may also be requested in rural areas.

How to apply?

To apply online, visit the PMAY-U portal. You'll find a QR code on the home page. Scan it with your phone. A new page will open. Click on "Apply for PMAY-U 2.0" from the right-hand side. A new page will open with some terms and conditions. Read them and then click "Click to Process" below.

After this, you'll need to complete the entire process and upload the required documents. Your application will be successfully submitted. For offline applications, you can apply by paying a nominal fee at the nearest CSC or PMAY-listed bank branch.
