Emma Raducanu's earnings for 2025 have been revealed after she withdrew from next month's exhibition matches in the United States. Raducanu pulled out of two high-profile events in Newark and Miami this week, which were scheduled to take place between December 7 and 8.
It is understood that the 2021 US Open winner is currently dealing with light bone bruising in her right foot. Raducanu had already ended her season early for health reasons, pulling out of her last two official tournaments of the year after battling an illness during most of the Asian swing. But despite missing out on substantial appearance fees she would have earned in the unofficial upcoming matches in America, the British tennis star enjoyed a positive year.
The 23-year-old proved she could compete with some of the best players in the game in her matches against world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka at Wimbledon and Cincinnati, even though she lost on both occasions.
Despite her record for the year not being hugely impressive, having won 28 and lost 22 of her matches, Raducanu has earned $1.45million (£1.1m) in WTA Tour prize money alone. That does not include the money she has earned with appearance fees, sponsorships, and bonuses.
It takes her career prize money earnings to a whopping $5.96m (£4.56m). Just under half of that sum came from her sensational win at Flushing Meadows in 2021, where she became the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam, doing so without losing a set.
That, along with Raducanu's standing as one of the WTA Tour's most highly endorsed players, means her current financial situation is a healthy one. According to Companies House records from the 2023 accounts, Raducanu had a net worth of £8m.
Her assets also totalled £10.2m, but both figures could be considerably higher when factoring in the figures for 2024 and this year. She could earn an even greater sum next year if she maintains her form and avoids injuries, with the British No.1 on track in her mission to secure a seeded entry into January's Australian Open.
Raducanu is still aiming to play at the United Cup - a mixed-teams event played in Perth and Sydney, Australia - in late December and early January. She was named in the Great Britain squad to play in the season-opening tournament alongside Jack Draper.
