This road, which has been in a dilapidated condition for a long time, will now be developed in a new form, which will provide relief to thousands of people.
Project worth more than Rs 35 crore
The work of widening and beautification of this road will be done at a cost of approximately Rs 35 crore. The government has released the first installment of more than Rs 7 crore for this. A plan has been prepared to develop this 17.200 km long route in a better way.
People from many nearby villages including Hathigahan, Sahavpur, Masni, Barai Harakh, Saraihariram, Jagdishpur, Sukali travel through this road every day. The importance of this road is also quite high as Hathigahan market is a major trading center across Ganga.
There was a demand for repair for a long time
Several correspondences were made by the local public and public representatives regarding the plight of the road. People had to face a lot of trouble due to potholes and narrow width at many places. Now there is enthusiasm among the people due to concrete steps being taken towards construction.
According to Arun Tripathi, Junior Engineer of the Public Works Department, the tender process of the road will be completed soon and the construction work is expected to start soon. Every day 15 to 20 thousand people pass through this route, hence its improvement is very important.

Executive Engineer Surendra Singh said that this road in Phaphamau assembly constituency is the main road connecting Kaurihar and Holagarh. After widening, there will be significant improvement in the traffic system. Also, access to the National Highway and Ganga Expressway will become easier, which will further strengthen the connectivity of rural areas.
