Lorraine Kelly has been a staple of daytime TV for decades, having begun her career at TV-am in 1984. However, with cuts at ITV, there has been reports of how it may impact her career going forward.

Currently airing for an hour all year round, her self-titled chat show will now have a 30-week run and be cut in half to 30 minutes. Insiders say Lorraine is furious at the decision and she is said to be weighing up quitting when her contract runs out at the end of 2026. However, if she does choose to step away from her show, Lorraine is set to retire to a healthy-looking nest egg. The ITV star, who is set to turn 66 today, has become quite a success over the years with a net worth of $6million (around £4.74million), according to Celebrity Net Worth. The Scottish presenter has amassed the huge sum after decades in the showbiz world and she also won a £1.2 million tax case in 2019.

Accounts filed last year by her company Albatel suggest it had total assets of £4.3m after making a profit of £400,000. The company channels her earnings from TV, as well as earnings through her publishing career and personal appearances.

After paying off creditors, her net worth was reportedly at £4,058,946 - £70,000 more than the year before. Lorraine is paid through Albatel, something that sparked the tax case in 2016.

The setback came as HMRC claimed that she was employed by ITV, but Lorraine argued that she was a self-employed "theatrical artist" who presented a "version of herself" each day.

ITV made payments totalling more than £3.1m to Albatel, which was set up in 1992, between 2012 and 2015.

Lorraine was born in the Gorbals area of Glasgow in Scotland and lived there for two years before the family moved to East Kilbride.

Now, Lorraine lives in a beautiful riverside property in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire with her husband Steve Smith, who's a television cameraman, and her Border Terrier Angus and her sausage dog Ruby.

The couple used to live in Broughty Ferry, Dundee but decided to move to Buckinghamshire in 2017 as Lorraine found commuting back and forth difficult.

Before moving to Buckinghamshire, Lorraine reportedly lived in an £800,000 seven-bedroom mansion.
