IPL 2026: Umran Malik is staying away from the Indian cricket team these days. Umran, known for his fast bowling, is currently playing for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket. Umran Malik has clarified his position regarding his return to Team India. He said that he knows that the day his performance is excellent, he will get a chance in the national team. Referring to the specialty of his fast bowling, he said that he can bowl at a speed of 150 km per hour. Along with this, he has also worked on his slower ball. Umran said that he is doing the required bowling for both white ball and red ball and now it is up to the selector as to when he will get a chance in Team India.

Playing for Jammu and Kashmir, Umran has taken six wickets in three matches so far. He says this performance will take him one step closer to the national team.

Umran’s eyes on IPL 2026

Before IPL 2026, Umran Malik is paying special emphasis on his preparations. He has been retained by KKR, although he could not play a single match in the last IPL season. Before this he had played only one match for SRH. In IPL 2023, he took five wickets in eight matches, while IPL 2022 was his brilliant season, in which he dismissed 22 batsmen in 14 matches.

Umran’s performance in the national team

Umran has taken 13 wickets in 10 ODI matches for India so far. At the same time, in eight T20 matches, he made 11 batsmen his victims. Apart from his fast bowling, his slower ball and diverse techniques make him an important player for the team. The selectors of Team India are keeping an eye on Umran’s fitness and performance, so that he can be included in the upcoming matches and series.
