These days, because of unhealthy food habits and an irregular lifestyle, many people suffer from deficiencies of essential vitamins and minerals. Deficiencies of vitamin D, vitamin B12, calcium, and iron are extremely common. Even vitamins like C and E are often found lacking. To correct these deficiencies, doctors advise eating a balanced diet, and in some cases, taking supplements.

Today, many people depend on multivitamin tablets or powders. But instead of relying only on supplements, you can improve nutrition through natural foods. You can even prepare a natural multivitamin powder at home using simple ingredients. Here’s what an expert says.

Make multivitamin powder at home
Jaipur-based Ayurveda expert Kiran Gupta explains that you can prepare a highly nutritious multivitamin powder at home by combining certain seeds and nuts.

Ingredients:
• Flaxseeds
• Sesame seeds
• Pumpkin seeds
• Melon and watermelon seeds
• Roasted peanuts
• Roasted chickpeas
• Powdered almonds, pistachios, cashews, and walnuts

Method:
Lightly roast the seeds—especially the ones that require roasting, such as flaxseeds. Take equal portions of all the ingredients. Grind everything into a fine powder and mix well.

This homemade multivitamin powder helps naturally restore essential nutrients in the body.

How to consume it
Mix 1–2 teaspoons of this powder in milk every morning.
Or, boil ginger or turmeric in water and add the powder once it cools slightly.
You can also add moringa seeds to increase its nutritional value.

This powder is high in protein, so it works best when consumed in the morning.
For children, you can make a lighter version without nuts such as almonds or cashews.
A child-friendly version can be made by drying sprouted moong dal, sprouted wheat, and other sprouts, then grinding them into a powder. Add this to soups or dal to improve nutrition.

Important precautions
Even though this multivitamin powder is natural, it may not suit everyone.
People with a Pitta body type, seed allergies, or nut allergies should be careful.
These ingredients also generate heat in the body, so avoid consuming large amounts.
