New Delhi: It will be easy to apply for the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme through the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme App. With this, the first Facilitation Center has been launched to provide information to the Prime Minister Internship Scheme. This center has been set up by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). From here the youth will get information and help to internship.

The last date to apply for internship under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme was earlier March 12, but it has been extended till March 31. After the launch of the mobile app, it will be easier for the youth to get internship in various government ministries and top 500 companies of the country. Applicants can also apply by visiting the official website of Prime Minister Internship Scheme. Under this scheme, in the first round, 1.27 lakh youth got the opportunity to do internship. Now in the second round, a target has been set to provide internship opportunities to more than 1.25 lakh youth. The government has approved Rs 840 crore for the pilot project of this scheme, out of which Rs 48 crore has been spent.

The age of the applicant eligible for this scheme should be between 21 to 24 years and he should have passed class 10 and 12. Additionally, he should have a graduate degree, ITI diploma or other technical qualification. Also under this scheme, interns will get a monthly salary of Rs. Stipend of Rs. 5,000 and incidental expenses of Rs. A one-time grant of Rs 6,000 is given. Along with this, insurance cover is also available under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
