Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has extended the deadline for online applications under the Krushi Vidya Nidhi Yojana for the academic year 2025–26, following requests from many students seeking more time to apply.

The Krushi Vidya Nidhi Yojana, a flagship scholarship initiative of the state government under the CM-KISAN scheme of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, aims to support higher education for children of eligible beneficiary families.

For the current academic session, the online application process was initially scheduled from October 15 to November 30. However, in view of the demand from students, the department has extended the application and verification timeline. As per the revised schedule, students can now submit their online applications up to December 20, 2025.

The verification of submitted application forms at the institutional level will be carried out till December 25. Subsequently, the District Chief Agriculture Officers will scrutinise and approve the applications at the district level by January 25, 2026, after which the proposals will be forwarded to the state level for disbursement of the scholarship amount.
