Benoni: In the second Youth ODI match against South Africa, Indian Under-19 team captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored a explosive fifty. Batting first, South Africa Under-19 team had set a target of 246 runs. In reply, thanks to Vaibhav's stormy batting, India scored 103 runs for 2 wickets in 10 overs.

Currently, Vedant Trivedi is at the crease after scoring 9 runs in 11 balls and Abhigyan Kundu is at the crease after scoring 2 runs in 6 balls. India Under-19 team suffered two setbacks in the form of Malayali player Aaron George (20 runs in 19 balls) and captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi (68 runs in 24 balls). Vaibhav and Aaron added 67 runs for the first wicket in 6.1 overs. Vaibhav completed his fifty in just 19 balls by hitting a six over long off off Bayanda Mayolo. After this he also hit two consecutive sixes and one four. Before getting out in the ninth over, Vaibhav scored 68 runs in 24 balls with the help of 10 sixes and one four. Of Vaibhav's 68 runs, 64 came only from boundaries.

Earlier, after winning the toss and coming to bat first, the South Africa Under-19 team scored a good score thanks to a century by Jason Rowles. At one time South Africa was struggling, losing 4 wickets for 96 runs, but a 97-run partnership between Rowles and Daniel Bosman took the team under control.

However, RS Abrish gave India a comeback by dismissing Daniel Bosman (31), after which South Africa's innings faltered again. Rowles scored 114 runs in 113 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes. For India, Kishan Kumar Singh took four wickets and Ambareesh took two wickets. India won the first match of the three-match series by 25 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.
