New Delhi. Amidst the ongoing new turmoil in Bihar politics, a meeting of JDU ministers, MLAs, MPs and Legislative Assembly members was held at the residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today. In this meeting, there was discussion about the political debut of Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar. Giving information regarding the meeting, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said that a decision has been taken to bring Nishant Kumar into full time politics. Tomorrow i.e. on March 7, Nishant will formally take membership of JDU. After taking membership of the party, Nishant Kumar will also tour the entire Bihar.

Union Minister Lalan Singh said in the meeting that Nishant Kumar should come into politics. MLAs and ministers have unanimously welcomed this decision. In the meeting, some JDU members raised a demand from Nitish Kumar to reconsider his decision of going to Rajya Sabha. Although Nitish Kumar assured everyone that I am there, there is nothing to worry about. He said that just as I have been handling the work as Chief Minister, I will remain directly connected with you in future also. Party workers are our capital and as they have always been with us in happiness and sorrow, we will remain with them in future too.

Before this meeting, Union Minister Lalan Singh had given a statement saying that the selection of the new Chief Minister of Bihar will be done only on the instructions of Nitish Kumar. Let us tell you that Nitish Kumar has filed nomination papers as Rajya Sabha candidate on Thursday itself. Now after Nitish Kumar goes to Rajya Sabha, there are speculations that his son Nishant Kumar will be made the Deputy CM of Bihar. However, at present no statement has been issued by JDU or BJP in this regard.
