There was such a magic in the hands of grandmothers that even an ordinary vegetable became completely special. Often everyone, be it children or adults, starts making faces as soon as they hear the name of ‘raw banana’, but if you make it in the old and traditional way, then everyone will keep licking their fingers. Today we have brought a very easy recipe of ‘Stuffed Banana Vegetable’ with the same traditional taste, which tastes spicy, crispy and very tasty. Let’s know its recipe

Material

Raw bananas – 4
Oil – 3–4 tbsp
Mustard – ½ tsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Fennel powder – 1 tsp
Dry mango powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
salt to taste
Coriander – to garnish

For filling masala

Mix these spices in a bowl
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Fennel powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli – ½ tsp
Turmeric – ¼ tsp
Mango powder – ½ tsp
salt to taste
Oil-1–2 tsp
Mix it well and prepare a slightly wet masala.

Method

  1. First of all, peel the raw banana and cut it into 2-3 pieces. Make a slit in the middle of each piece (do not separate completely). Stuff the prepared masala well into the slit of the banana.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and temper it. Now add turmeric and immediately place the bananas in the pan.
  3. Cover the pan and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes. Keep turning gently in between so that the bananas do not break.
  4. When the bananas become slightly crunchy and ripe, add garam masala and green coriander on top.
  5. Serve hot stuffed raw banana curry with roti, paratha or dal-rice. Everyone likes its sour and spicy taste.
