As per a recent report, the tour fetched the economy with a revenue of approximately Rs 943 crore, thus becoming the highest grossing concert tour in the country ever. Here are more deets!

With so many shows and huge crowds at each show, as per a report by EY, Dosanjh’s global Dil-Luminati Tour fetched the economy a revenue of approximately Rs 943.
The figure includes Rs 276 crore in direct revenue, along with nearly Rs 553 crore generated through indirect spending across secondary and tertiary channels such as travel, tourism, hospitality, food and beverage services, logistics, and local vendors.
Around 3,20,000 tickets were sold on Zomato live, and this contributed 80% of the direct revenue.

The Dil-Luminati Tour generated not only revenue, but also employment on a large scale. The report states it accounted for 1,18,000 man-days of employment, across both the live events sector and its allied sectors.
Around 38% of attendees travelled from other cities to attend the concerts, and over half of them (about 20%) extended their stay, further boosting tourism and hospitality revenue.
The report also showed how people from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are also putting money in concerts. Nearly 49% of attendees across the tour came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
