Former Playboymodel Kendra Wilkinson has hit back at "nasty trolls" who say she's "aged poorly" over time. The 40-year-old, who was one of Hugh Hefner's 'bunnies' , entered the Playboy Mansion at aged 18 and quickly rose to fame.

After making her debut as a "painted girl" at Hefner's 78th birthday bash, Kendra was spotted in 2004 and caught the eye of the magazine CEO. Her bubbly personality won over fans, leading to her own reality TV series, Kendra and Kendra on Top, and a role in The Girls Next Door alongside Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt.

Following a five-year stint at the mansion from 2004 to 2009, and with her television career winding down by 2017, Kendra stepped out of the Playboy limelight to concentrate on family life. She transitioned into a new career as a real estate agent in 2020.

Despite this, she's found it hard to escape harsh criticism, with some now taking aim at her looks.

Responding to the negative comments, she stated: "I used to use a light filter on myself, but now I'm just embracing myself as I am."

"I've seen many people comment saying I've aged 'poorly' - and that is OK. I'm OK with ageing 'poorly'.

"For some reason, I'm happier than I've ever been lately, even with a little weight gain and wrinkles, and I'm not going to tie my happiness to negative energy again.

"I am a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life, and I hope I can hold on to this feeling after working hard to get here.

"I was very young when I started TV and lived a chaotic 20 years trying to impress others, but now it's about me - giving back to myself, even with less money and far less fame.

"I'm now a realtor and a mum to a 16- and 11-year-old. Watching them grow has brought me more happiness than anything else. I'm so grateful for where I am today."

Kendra is mum to Hank Jr. and Alijah, whom she shares with ex-NFL player Hank Baskett. The pair were married for a decade before going their separate ways in 2018.

Supporters flooded the comments section with messages of encouragement, including model Crystal Harris.

She penned: "Cheers to those who grow and move on to the life waiting for us."

Another admirer responded: "It's honestly a blessing to age. We aren't meant to stay young forever - people just need to enjoy the ride. PS you're a hot mama, Kendra."
