Virgin Media is offering sports enthusiasts up to £250 if they switch to one of its TV packages this month. This means supporters of the Premier League, Formula 1, rugby, darts and more can sidestep upcoming price hikes introduced by competing providers and secure a £250 switching credit.

The offer is available with Virgin's £52.99 Sport bundle, delivering over 200 channels plus nine from Sky Sports including Main Event and F1. With this, subscribers can watch Sky's complete coverage of the Premier League's final stage, every Grand Prix weekend, plus the Carabao Cup final and The Masters.

Customers taking advantage of this offer will also get a complimentary Netflix subscription and 516Mbps fibre broadband, with Sky Atlantic set to be added from April 1. New Virgin customers signing up for the deal can claim a bill credit of up to £250 to cover early termination charges levied by their existing provider, potentially delivering several months of free service.

However, Virgin has confirmed customers must sign up by April 1 to secure the deal. It's also available with the combined £64.99 Sport + Cinema bundle, which comes with the same TV and sport perks but also includes a Sky Cinema subscription.

This grants access to Sky's expanding library of over 1,000 films on-demand. All of these benefits are also included with the £76.99 Max Volt bundle, which Virgin describes as its best value package. What distinguishes this from cheaper options is its lightning-fast 1,130Mbps broadband, plus over 230 TV channels, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and Netflix. Additionally, Max Volt members get an O2 SIM card offering unlimited data, minutes and texts without any additional charge.

With Virgin's sport packages, there's an option to include extras like TNT Sports for £25. This represents better value than subscribing directly with the broadcaster at £30.99 monthly.

An important factor when switching is that Virgin has confirmed its prices won't increase in April, with rates now fixed for 12 months. However, a drawback is that customers will still experience a bill rise in April 2027, when monthly costs go up by £4.

Virgin's Sport bundle competes with Sky's own offerings, such as the £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports package. Whilst more budget-friendly than Virgin, Sky's plan delivers fewer perks, with roughly 100 fewer channels and no broadband included.

To claim Virgin's £250 switching offer, customers must enter their postcode on the website to confirm coverage and select their package. They can then complete checkout using the One Touch Switch, which enables Virgin to handle the transfer without the customer needing to contact their existing provider.

After everything is finalised, Virgin will provide details on claiming the switching credit, which will be applied as a bill credit. It's important to note the sum available depends on the termination fee imposed by the current provider.
