Socialite and art collector Shalini Passi 's life is anything but trite! While she is well-known in Delhi's social circles, Shalini Passi has now become a household name-- thanks to her presence in the OTT show ' Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives '. From living in a museum-like house to her distinctive fashion choices, everything about Shalini is grand. In recent interviews, Shalini revealed her unusual arranged marriage and that their wedding cards were designed by the legendary MF Husain and that too not one but four!

Shalini and Sanjay Passi 's love story

Shalini shared in an interview with Brut India that theirs was an arranged marriage. However, the story of how she met her husband, Sanjay, is unique in its own ways. Shalini recalled that she was attending a friend's sister's wedding when a few girls approached her and asked questions about her parents. 'Will your parents be attending the wedding?', a girl asked Shalini, and she replied 'Yes, in the evening,' she recalled. Excited, the girls then told their mother that they had found the perfect girl for Sanjay bhaiya. In the evening, the Passis came to the wedding to meet Shalini and her parents for an arranged marriage proposal.

Shalini was only 20 years old when she got married to Sanjay Passi, a businessman, and their wedding cards were designed by artist MF Husain. However there was a condition that MF Husain had put forth, and it was only after fulfilling it did he agree to design the wedding cards.
Revealing more details about it, Shalini told India Today Digital, “Husain sahab has been very close to my husband’s family. My husband’s family approached him to make the wedding cards, and he said, ‘First, I’ll see the girl, and then I’ll paint (the cards)’”.
And when Mr Husain saw Shalini and Sanjay, he compared the lovely couple to Radha and Krishna. “Then he saw me and said, ‘This is a Radha-Krishna jodi,’" Shalini recalled.
And thus, the legendary MF Husain personally painted not one but four beautiful wedding cards for Shalini and Sanjay Passi. "One was for the Mata Ki Chowki, one was for the sangeet, one for the wedding, and one for the reception,” Shalini further revealed.

Shalini and Sanjay Passi got married in the early 2000s, and a year after their wedding they had their son Robin. While Sanjay is the Chairman of Pasco Group, Shalini is a well-known artist and art collector in the national capital.
