Jen Shah, the former star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City , has received a new release date from prison. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database, Shah’s sentence has been reduced for the third time, with her release now scheduled for November 3, 2026.
Page Six first reported the update. Shah, 51, was initially sentenced to 6.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from her involvement in a nationwide telemarketing scheme . Shah and her assistant, Stuart Smith, were arrested in March 2021 for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Initially pleading not guilty, Shah reversed her plea in July 2022.
She reported to Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas on February 17, 2023. Just a month later, her sentence was reduced by one year, moving her release date to August 30, 2028. This recent adjustment marks the third reduction.
Shah has expressed remorse for her actions and has begun making restitution payments. In a statement from her representative, it was noted, “She has initiated her payments towards restitution, and we hope to have her home as soon as possible so that she may resume life with her family and work, putting this chapter of her life behind her.”
With her release date now less than two years away, Shah appears focused on rebuilding her life and reconnecting with her family once she is released.
