Emmerdale viewers were left scratching their heads on Monday (January 20) as they noticed the snow seemed to mysteriously appear and disappear throughout the episode, causing a "continuity blunder".

In one poignant scene, a grieving Kim Tate (Claire King), clad in her chic winter attire, visited the frosty graveyard to pay respects to her late husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), who tragically passed away from a heart attack on Christmas Day.

Standing solemnly amidst the snow, Kim laid a bouquet of white roses on Will's grave before noticing Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) seated on a nearby bench.

Despite the snowy surroundings, the wooden bench where Joe sat was conspicuously devoid of any snowflakes.

"Visiting someone or just here for the view?", Kim queried her step-grandson, to which Joe replied: "Just went to say hi to dad. Got me thinking about all the people we've lost", sparking a discussion about mortality, reports .

Following their conversation about family dynamics and "running the Tate empire" against the snowy backdrop, the scene switched back to the village where there was hardly any snow on the ground.

Sharp-eyed Emmerdale fans quickly spotted the inconsistent snowfall in each scene and took to social media to highlight the discrepancy.

Emmerdale viewers took to social media platform X to comment on the sudden disappearance of snow in the show, with one fan writing: "And just like that, the snow is almost gone!! #emmerdale."

Others pointed out continuity errors, such as: "Snow ruining the continuity on #Emmerdale" as another added: "It didn't snow on the bench. #Emmerdale".

Another viewer chimed in: "#Emmerdale Snow cleared up quite quickly - it was knee deep in the graveyard earlier."

Meanwhile, one fan enjoyed the dramatic scenes unfolding, saying: "Chucked on #Emmerdale waiting for #Corrie to come on and Kim and Joe are having a fantastic scene in the snow and Laurel has just saved Nicola by whacking the evil Anthony over the head with a candle stick!".

Emmerdale airs every weekday at 19.30pm on ITV1, ITV X, STV and STV Player with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. It is also available each morning from 07.00am on ITVX.
