A surprising case of looting has come to light from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. In the city, a maid took her elderly mistress hostage and looted cash and jewelery worth lakhs and went on a rampage.
According to the information received from the police, Savitri, a Nepali maid hired 10 days ago without verification, is involved in this robbery. Savitri along with her three associates escaped after looting Rs 12 lakh cash and jewelery worth Rs 50 lakh.
The gate was not latched
Police said that the incident took place on Moti Moti Dungri Kanota Bagh Devi Path in Jaipur. The Nepali maid had not locked the main gate with the intention of robbery. In such a situation, on Monday, January 20, at 11:35 pm, two of Savitri's friends reached Gate No. of the colony. Came inside at 3 and both hid in the stairs at the back of the house. In such a situation, all three attacked at 1 o'clock in the night.
Maid looted 62 lakhs
The miscreants took Manju Kothari (75) and servant Sandeep, resident of UP and Pratima of West Bengal, hostage in the house and beat them up. Then they looted Rs 12 lakh in cash and jewelery worth about Rs 50 lakh from the cupboard. An associate of the miscreants was standing at some distance from the house with a cab, in which everyone fled. After the incident, Savitri escaped in a cab with the miscreants. The robbers also took away the mobile phones of the victim woman and the two servants. Two hours after the miscreants left, the servant Sandeep somehow freed himself and informed the driver of the house, Moti Singh, about the incident through a landline phone at 4 am on Tuesday.

Moti untied everyone and informed the police about the incident. After registering the report, the police have started watching the nearby CCTV. Meanwhile, the victim Manju Kothari is in shock after the incident. Police said that Manju, Sandeep and Pratima were sleeping in the same room, while Savitri was sleeping in the hall of the house. Savitri was hired as a maid by Manju Kothari's acquaintance Amit. Savitri was asked for ID several times, but she always avoided it.
