Your Permanent Account Number i.e. PAN Card is an important document for Indians. It is a 10 digit alphanumeric identification number used for tax, investment and other financial transactions in India. If your PAN card is accidentally lost or misplaced somewhere, you can apply online for its duplicate copy. Today we are going to tell you about its process.

Follow the steps given below to apply online:

1. Visit the official website of TIN-NSDL.
2. Click on “Apply Online” tab on the home page.
3. Click on the option “Apply for PAN Card”.
4. Click on “Reprint for PAN Card” option.
5. Enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number and date of birth.
5.Click on the checkbox and click on “Proceed” button.
6. Enter your mobile number or email ID.
7. Click on “Generate OTP” button.
8. Enter the OTP and click on “Submit” button.
9. Fill in your personal information.
10. Upload your photo.
11. Pay the application fee.
12. Click on “Submit” button.
13. You will receive a copy of the application. You can use this copy to check the status of your application.

Follow the steps given below to apply offline:

  • Visit your nearest PAN service centre.
  • Fill up the application form.
  • Submit the required documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • The application fee is Rs 110. You can pay the application fee through demand draft, check or credit card.

  • Passport
  • permission to drive
  • Voter ID Card
  • birth certificate
  • Address proof

It takes approximately 15-20 working days to get the duplicate PAN card. You can get your duplicate PAN card from the PAN Seva Kendra or by post at your home.
