The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) released the notification for the Civil Services Examination 2025 (CSE) on 22 January 2025. Candidates can now register online by visiting the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in after the release of the notification.

This year, UPSC released the notification for CSE 2025 earlier, which is relatively early from previous years. Both the exams are conducted by UPSC, and candidates can apply for both. Candidates are advised to submit their registration form online within the prescribed time limit. As per the annual calendar, the last date for submission of online application form is February 11, 2025.

Last year's vacancies information

Last year UPSC released a notification of a total of 1,056 vacancies for CSE and 150 vacancies for Indian Forest Service (IFS). The number of vacancies for this year's exam has not been announced yet, but candidates expect the number to be quite large this year as well. The interview session for last year's exam is now underway and will end in April. The UPSC CSE 2025 preliminary exam will be held on May 25, and the main exam dates will be announced after that.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2025: Application Process

1. First of all, visit the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.

2. Click on "UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2025 Registration Link" on the home page.

3. A new page will open, in which candidates have to complete their registration process.

4. After successful registration, candidates can fill the application form.

5. Upload the required documents in the application form, pay the fee and submit the form.

6. Take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Last Date and Important Information

This year, candidates have to complete their registration by 11 February 2025. UPSC has already announced the exam dates, and now the candidates have got time to start their preparation. This time the notification of UPSC CSE has been released early, so that the candidates get more time and they can prepare well for their exam.
