14 cricketers including Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya have been included in the Registered Testing Pool (RTP) for 2025 by the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA). Now NADA is going to collect samples of all these players and test them. Now only time will tell whether these players fail or pass the doping test of NADA but before that we are telling you about those Indian players who failed in the dope test and were banned.

Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan, who was a part of the Indian team's victory in the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011, failed the dope test after unknowingly consuming Terbutaline (a banned substance). After this Yusuf was banned by BCCI for five months. His ban ended in January 2018.

Prithvi Shaw

Like Yusuf Pathan, 25-year-old Prithvi Shaw was also banned after unknowingly consuming the banned substance Terbutaline. After failing the dope test in 2019, Prithvi was banned by BCCI for eight months.

Pradeep Sangwan

Pradeep Sangwan, who was a part of Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans in IPL, was banned by BCCI for 18 months in 2013 after he was found guilty of consuming banned anabolic steroids.

Kiran Baliyan

In 2024, shot put athlete Kiran Baliyan had failed in the dope test. Kiran Baliyan had won the bronze medal in the Asian Games. Kiran was found positive in the test for a banned substance. After this he was temporarily suspended by NADA.

Rachana Kumari

Hammer throw player Rachna Kumari has won the gold medal in the National Inter State Championship in 2023. However, in 2024 she failed in the dope test. After this he was banned for 12 years by the International Federation Athletics Integrity Unit.

Nirmala Sheoran

Nirmala Sheoran had violated doping rules in 2018. Due to this he had to face a ban of four years. After this, Nirmala was found positive for banned substances in the doping test in 2023. NADA then banned him for eight years from August 2023.

Karanvir Singh

In May 2023, shotput athlete Karanvir Singh won the bronze medal in the Federation Cup. But after failing in the dope test, he was dropped from the Indian team for the Asian Athletics Championship to be held in Bangkok this year.

Kirpal Singh

Discus throw athlete Kirpal Singh also failed the dope test. He won the gold medal in the Federation Cup in 2023. Kirpal was found positive for Stanozolol (anabolic steroid). After this he was banned for four years.

parvez khan

NADA had imposed a temporary ban on top middle distance runner Parvez Khan after he failed the dope test. He won the 1500 meters race at the Collegiate Athletics Championships in America in 2024.

Anshula Rao

The anti-doping agency had said about Anshula that she had deliberately consumed banned drugs. When she was found failed in the dope test, this all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh was banned for four years by NADA in July 2020. Anshula was the first female cricketer to be banned in doping case.
