viewers are on the edge of their seats as Charlotte, Frankie, Leanne, Jake and Alexander are the five remaining players to head into the final. Fans are completely clueless as to who will win the prize money after a series of twists and turns.

But who is going to win the huge cash prize, and will it be a Traitor or a Faithful? The contestants have been given the chance to win up to a huge £120,000, but the last task will determine the final amount.

Last year, Harry walked away with a whopping £95,000, while Aaron, Hannah and Meryl shared out the £101,050 prize pot between them.

Whilst on other TV shows, such as I'm A Celebrity and Masked Singer, the people competing on the show do have to pay tax on their earnings from the show, as it is considered connected to their employment.

However, the Gov.uk website confirms "prize money, goods and any incidental expenses awarded on entering competitions, quizzes, surveys etc. would not be considered as taxable income", so the winner can walk away with the entire amount.

There's a reason for this. Fisher, Jones and Greenwood Solictors explain that the UK is quite unique in the sense that HMRC allows cash prizes from competitions and the National Lottery to be completely free of income tax.

However, there are some caveats to this. The solicitors explain that in order for such a prize from a competition not to be classed as an illegal form of lottery, there has to either be a skill-based element to the entry, such as a question, or alternatively the option of free entry, such as through applications or postal entries.

Viewers will recall seeing previous shows that required an answer from a multiple choice question, whereby even a 5 year old child would have been able to answer correctly.

The website states: "This was often a way of trying to get around the requirement for providing a free entry option as the organiser could claim that there was a skill element.

"The Gambling Act 2005 clarified the position by confirming that the skill based question had to ensure that there was a reasonable expectation that a significant proportion of potential participants would be deterred from entering."

So it's good news for the remaining Traitors stars as they fight it out to come out on top. If last remaining Traitor Charlotte is not uncovered, she wins the entire prize pot to herself. However, if she is exposed, the remaining Faithful will split the pot between them.
