CBSE: Students at connected schools will now use their APAAR ID as their main form of identification after the Central Board of Secondary Education, or CBSE, issued a notice. The notification may be seen on cbse.gov.in, the official website of the CBSE.
The Board developed “APAAR ID Monitoring (AIM),” an online platform, to monitor the generation of APAAR IDs at schools connected to the CBSE. Now that the hotline number has been set up, schools may contact it in case they need support. 1800-889-3511 is the toll-free helpline number. Candidates may visit the official CBSE website for further details.
In the meanwhile, candidates have been informed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that APAAR ID is not necessary for NEET UG 2025 registration. Candidates may still register for the test via other methods; specifics will be revealed shortly.
How is APAAR ID implemented?
The official announcement states that there will be six phases in the APAAR ID implementation process in schools, which are listed below.
Step 1: Hold PTMs: In order to present APAAR ID to parents and kids, schools must arrange PTMs. During these sessions, they will discuss the advantages and relevance of the program.
Step 2: Distribution and Collection of Consent Forms: Schools are required to provide parents hard copies of their consent forms. These documents must be signed by the parents, who also provide permission for the creation of APAAR IDs using their Aadhaar information.
Step 3: Student Data Verification: School administrators will utilize the UDISE+ site to confirm that student data, including name, birthdate, and Aadhaar number, is accurate.
Step 4: APAAR ID Generation: Using the UDISE+ portal, which will be safely connected to students’ Digilocker accounts, schools will generate APAAR IDs. The parents will get a confirmation SMS when it is finished.
Step 5: Distribution and Integration: The schools will provide APAAR IDs to parents and students.
Step 6: Resolving Errors: Schools will direct parents to Common Service Centers (CSCs) for resolution in the event of any inconsistencies.
