R Madhavan reveals his wife, Sarita, thinks he is a 'fool' and 'can't handle his money'

R Madhavan met his wife Sarita before making his way into showbiz and she has always stood by him through thick and thin. At the same time, Sarita never shies away from expressing her honest opinion with her husband. In a recent interview with Just Too Filmy, R Madhavan shared that his wife often teases him about his spending habits and believes he can't handle his hard-earned money properly. In his words:

"My wife thinks I am generous to a fault. And I am a fool. And I don't know how to handle my money. She thinks I keep giving it away. I think I'm very particular about it, but she says not even from a remote corner. Are you particular about it? I spend what I have."

The actor further admitted that he isn't careful about spending his money but ensures that he doesn't go overboard with it. Citing an example, he mentioned that if he desires to buy a big car or something similar that doesn't fit within his finances, he is careful enough not to buy it. Sharing his perspective, R Madhavan said:

"I don't have worldly possessions; that is the reflection of my stardom. But I do have the liberty that this stardom offers me and I enjoy it."

R Madhavan shares that he carries his wallet, unlike his 3 Idiots co-star Aamir Khan

In the same conversation, if he carries a wallet since his 3 Idiots co-star Aamir Khan earlier mentioned he didn't carry one around with him. In his response, the former revealed that he won't go far to take that risk. R Madhavan noted that Aamir Khan's popularity is a reason he could do that because he would go around with his people who pay in his place. But, the Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein actor says that the same can't be applied to him. Explaining the reason, R Madhavan said:

"I think my personality doesn't allow me to walk around with an entourage. I prefer walking alone. I want that freedom and the ability to interact with people."

R Madhavan was last seen in Shaitaan, co-starring Ajay Devgn and Jyotika, where he played the role of an occultist and gained a lot of appreciation for it. He is currently seen in the action-comedy film, Hisaab Barabar alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Kriti Kulhari, which is streaming on Zee5. The actor also has an untitled film with Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday in the pipeline.
