As we steadily steer into new year, January is the time to reflect and reset your mind and body and wellness brand have introduced a new and travel-friendly way to take your supplements differently - and I got to try the range before it was featured in Dragon's Den.

The company ditched traditional vitamins tablets and transformed them into, which founder Issa said is "innovative, convenient and with high absorption". The strips are paper-thin but packed with vitamins and they require no water to take with.

Co-founder Ash explained to the Dragons on the BBC show: "Simply peel open the pouch, place a strip on your tongue and let the 'magic' dissolve." The range takes care of different concerns including sleep, derma, collagen, immunity, bone & teeth, and energy - with price starting from £9.99 for 30 strips.

I tried the strawberry-flavoured (£10.99), topical watermelon-flavoured (£9.89), orange mint-flavoured (£20.99 as a bundle) - and the last one was the winner for me.

At the back of each pack, there's a list of nutritional information that you can get from each strip and for example in Diso Derma, you can get a high strength of 1,000mg Biotin and 200mg of Folic Acid and 6mg of Zinc to support skin health and hair growth.

I like the concept of it but I had difficulty enjoying the strips just like the investors on the show. Steven Bartlett and Peter Jones both mentioned that the strip "stuck to the roof of my mouth". I've had this experience as well and it took me a few times to realise that it's best to wait for a few seconds to let it dissolve rather than pushing it down by hand. Dissolvable strips are helpful to those who struggle with swallowing.

Ash responded to one of the dragon's concerns of the strip sticking on the roof of mouth, saying: "It all depends on the active ingredient itself. The more active ingredients we put inside a strip, the thicker it gets, the more difficult it is to dissolve."

The packaging is definitely travel-friendly but maybe not so much for the environment as each strip is individually packed. The compact size means you can slide a couple of them in your wallet or wash bag for a short trip without the need of taking a bottle.

The Diso Energy contains 50mg of caffeine, which equals to a shot of espresso, and also vitamin B5, B6, B12 and E. The main issue I have with the strips is the taste - not all of them taste like the fruit flavours stated on the box. My favourite one is Diso Snooze, a cherry flavoured that is tasty to take an hour before sleep. It dissolved well and I slept like a log with no interruption.

Some shoppers said it's "too sweet" to their liking but it's better than , which in my opinion, doesn't taste like watermelon at all and the , only has a slight hint of strawberry. Others said they have to "wash it down with water" to get rid of the after taste.

Diso has hit the shelves at Boots and Amazon and some of them are waiting for restock. There are customers who suggested NuStrips as alternative but it's not available to buy in the UK. is another peel-and-dissolve health supplement that also provides 30 flavoured vitamin strips from £9.99. If you have difficulty swallowing supplements, are easy to take and it's available on Holland & Barrett.
