The Bisalpur dam contains the arrival of water from Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer and Tonk districts, which is considered a catchment area. According to the engineers of the dam project, the main arrival of water in the dam is believed to be from Chittorgarh and Bhilwara districts, in which the Banas river is the source of the main arrival. At the same time, Khari and Dye rivers are also helpful in water filler. The Banas river has the main dam before Matrukundia, Govata, Kothari, Jaitpura.
The source of the main arrival of water in Banas is the famous Menal waterfall, whose water comes in the Govata dam. After the overflow of the Govata Dam, the water mixes in the Menali River and reaches Triveni. In Triveni, the Banas, Bedach and Menali river together form the Triveni Sangam and this is the temple of the ancient Mahadev, which is the center of people's faith. Water begins as the Banas river ahead of the Triveni river, in which other small tributaries including Kothari River, Uvali River, Cash River are found. And this water of Banas river reaches Bisalpur dam. Triveni is considered to be the source of the main arrival of water in Bisalpur dam.
