An influencer lost both his feet and one of his knees after he crashed a high powered sportscar in Brazil.

Social media star Matheus Dressler, 33, crashed his BMW on a highway in Ribeirao Preto in the north west of Sao Paolo earlier this year.

As a result of the accident on January 15, his car was completely destroyed and he had to have both of his feet amputated.

However, during the initial stages of recovery it was discovered that he had an exposed fracture that meant his right knee also had to be amputated.

Mr Dressler, who has 228,000 followers on social media, has since spoken about the accident on social media and expressed his gratitude to be alive.

He said: “I only have one thing to say to you. I have a purpose in life. I am alive here today because of a miracle.”

A spokesperson for Matheus has also revealed what happened to him on the fateful day of the accident.

They said: “We would like to inform everyone, especially those who are concerned about Matheus, that on January 15th he was involved in a car accident, resulting in some injuries.

“He underwent surgery, his health is stable and he is conscious and alive. He remains under medical care, accompanied by his family and awaiting medical advice from the hospital.
