New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, renowned Kannada serial director KS Ramji recently visited a police station to file a complaint. The matter came to the attention of the authorities after Ramji was reportedly subjected to online harassment.

Reports suggest that the complaint was lodged at the West Cyber Crime Station regarding false allegations made on Instagram. The director pointed to social media posts from a fake account that accused him of sexually harassing young women. He has urged officials to take action against those responsible for operating the account.

For those unfamiliar, Ramji has directed 16 serials, including Ramachari, Mangalagauri Samadhi, and Naagini 2. He has also helmed an action sequence for the Kannada film Hejjaru.

What is in the complaint?

Notably, an Instagram account with the handle Exposing_Ram_ji was created on 24 January 2025. Using Ramji’s photo, the account posted claims that the director had been sexually harassing young women.

The complaint seeks to have the post removed and to identify the unknown individual behind the account so that legal action can be taken. The FIR was lodged at the West Division Cyber Crime Station.
