Viewers of were momentarily taken away from the on-screen mysteries as debuted a strikingly different appearance. The former Big Brother presenter, well-known for her signature dark hairstyle, delivered a genuine shock as she showcased a short, blonde hairdo upon her entrance onto the ITV stage.

The transformation left fans utterly flabbergasted, prompting a flurry of comments on social media, with many confessing they initially failed to recognise the famed judge. One fan exclaimed: "I wondered who that was in the blonde wig, it's Davina.."

Another declared their surprise: "Barely recognised Davina with that blonde wig," and yet another fan admitted to not recognising her at first glance: "Didn't even recognize Davina for a second."

Preceding the show, Davina unveiled that her fresh look is actually a wig. On Instagram she shared, "My absolute favourite of the series this week. The wig was lent to us by @amberjeanshop and I've been so grateful for their help with the hair this season of @maskedsingeruk on @itv."

The Pufferfish, Bear, Bush, Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Snail and Wolf were back in the ring on Saturday night (February 1), vying for their spot in the contest with a double elimination looming.

Last week's episode unveiled comedian and TV host Mel Giedroyc as the personality behind the Teeth costume. Other celebrities who have been unmasked so far include Kate Garraway, Prue Leith, Macy Gray and Carol Decker.

ITV has announced the finale date for The Masked Singer, when the identities of the final three celebrities will be revealed. Fans won't have to wait long, as it's scheduled for two weeks time on February 15.
