Kamal Haasan's 'Thug Life': Silambarasan TR's poster dropped on birthday

The makers of the upcoming film Thug Life celebrated actor Silambarasan TR's 41st birthday on Monday by unveiling a new poster featuring him.

The poster showcases Silambarasan in a cool and stylish avatar, hinting at an intense action role for the actor in this Mani Ratnam directorial venture.

The film, which also stars Kamal Haasan, is set to hit theaters in June 2025.

Along with Silambarasan and Haasan, Thug Life also stars the likes of Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Gautham Karthik, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Joju George.

Although we still don't know much about Silambarasan's character, an official teaser revealed him as the "new thug in town."

The teaser showed him driving a Border Patrol vehicle through the deserts of Rajasthan.

Silambarasan has a packed schedule with back-to-back projects lined up for 2025. He is expected to juggle shoots for his films with directors Ramkumar Balakrishnan and Ashwath Marimuthu. STR's tie-up with Balakrishnan also got a new poster on Sunday.

He also has a long-pending film with Desingh Periyasamy. The film launched as STR 48 is expected to be re-titled as STR 50, adding to the excitement among fans about which of these films will hit the screens first.
