After a two-year break following Custody, Naga Chaitanya is making a grand return to the big screen with Thandel. The film, marking his second collaboration with Sai Pallavi , is set for release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. As anticipation builds, the film has already received strong backing from Tamil star Karthi and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan , who launched the Tamil and Hindi trailers in Chennai and Mumbai, respectively.
Talking to News 18, Chaitanya acknowledged the significance of these relationships. He also spoke highly of Aamir, with whom he worked in 'Laal Singh Chaddha', crediting the superstar for having a profound impact on his career. “That one experience was equal to what I learnt throughout the span of my career,” Naga Chaitanya shared, emphasizing how Aamir’s approach to cinema and life continues to inspire him.
Despite Thandel clashing with 'Lovepaya', which stars Aamir’s son Junaid Khan , Naga Chaitanya remains supportive. He praised Junaid’s talent and humility, stating that he is rooting for his debut film. The actor, known for his reserved nature, also revealed that he stays in touch with Aamir, occasionally reaching out to him and closely following his work.
With both films releasing on February 7, the industry will witness an interesting box office battle. For the unversed, the Junaid Khan starrer is a remake of the Tamil superhit film 'Love Today'.
