Silent Witness fans have shared their sadness as the final episodes of the series aired on One.
Viewers are gearing up for the grand finale of Silent Witness season 28, with the penultimate episode I Believe in Love airing on Monday (February 3) night.
The intense episode starts off in dramatic fashion, with six people shot dead in a Syrian pizza restaurant. Nikki Alexander (portrayed by Emilia Fox) and Jack Hodgson (played by David Caves) are soon on the case to track down the shooter before tragedy strikes again.
Later, a suspect emerges from CCTV footage, only to be discovered deceased, an apparent suicide, while using the very same distinct bullets from the pizza place shootout.
Amidst the chaos, Nikki even finds a moment to look at wedding gowns ahead of her and Jack's upcoming wedding, reports .
While the drama unfolded on screens, distraught fans voiced their emotions on X (formerly ), caught between anticipation and longing for more. One posted: "It's time! I'm so ready but not ready for this at the same time."
Another shared their apprehension: "Am I ready for these last two episodes? Absolutely not!" and a third chimed in: "Here we go!! My emotions are out of control already, really don't want this series to end."
