Sanjiv goenka: Sanjeev Goenka, owner of Lucknow Super Giants, has tied up with Lancashire in England. Sanjeev Goenka's RPSG Group on Monday made the highest bid for 49% stake in The Hundred franchise. Goenka's group has won 49% stake in Lancashire's team Manchester Originals. Due to which the manchester -based Hundred is priced more than 100 million euros, which is considered about 116 million euros.
Lancashire said in his statement a few days ago that he wanted to sell his 51 per cent stake in Manchester Originals. But he will sell his stake when he will receive a favorite amount. Lancashire said on Monday that we are focusing a lot on getting a great partner. IPL and RPSG have been our favorite bidder for some time. We are very happy with the result and ready to work together to create an exciting future.
In August 2024, Cricinfo's report claimed that RPSG Group officials visited Emirates Old Trafford. Lancashire's chief executive Daniel Gidney made it clear in an interview that he wanted to work with the IPL franchise. Lancashire's initial shortlist also included Reliance Industries Limited, owner of Mumbai Indians. However, Mumbai Indians have purchased 49 per cent stake in Oval Invinesals a few days ago.
