Shark Tank India 4: Clothing brand's young pitcher Rohan inspires to become 'Ludhiana ka Narayana Murthy'; Aman Gupta jokes '70 ghanta kaam karna padega'
In the latest episode of Shark Tank India 4 , Burger Bae , a D2C clothing brand driven by Rohan Kashyap , Ojasvee Kashyap, and Janvi Sikaria Instagram. They have a vibrant community, with a mission to deliver high-quality, stylish yet functional apparel. Spearheaded by the trio, the brand has over 2.5 lakh customers and built a strong digital presence with 2.67 lakh Instagram followers.
The pitchers are based out of Ludhiana and Delhi. Talking about their background Rohan said, “I have been fascinated about numbers since 9th standard. I have been inspired by Narayan Murthy. Mujhe Ludhiana ka Narayan Murthy banna hai.” To this, Aman Gupta added, ‘Sahi hai, bas 70 ghanta kaam karna padega’.
Their ask was Rs 1 crore for 2.5% equity.
Ojasvee shared that she joined the company, when she saw her brother Rohan really need help. Janvi narrated, how she started out as a customer but during her second buy, she didn’t receive the products. She said, “Rohan got in touch with me as I kept complaining for 2 months. He promised to add some new merchandise whenever I would shop from them. I was happy with customer and then I joined them as a co-founder.”
Janvi and Rohan also revealed to be in a relationship.
The founders faced a mix of curiosity and scepticism. The sharks were initially caught off guard by the brand name, expecting a food venture. However, Rohan, Ojasvee, and Janvi quickly turned the conversation to their vision, creating a Make-in-India fashion brand that blends comfort, quality, and trend-driven designs.
"With Burger Bae, our vision has always been to build a brand that resonates with the new generation. From day one, we have stood by our three core pillars: Quality, Community, and Sustainability, not as mere buzzwords, but as the foundation of everything we do. Coming to Shark Tank India to present our brand was a defining moment in our journey. We’re here to prove that a brand from India can go global. Anupam Mittal, Kunal Bahl and Aman make same offer: Rs 1 crore for 10% equity or Rs 2 crore for 20% equity.
They want Aman, Anupam and Kunal together. Anupam tells them to decide and agrees to come at 7%. The trio finally agrees to the 3-Sharks offer Rs 2 crore for 20% equity.
