Palghar crime news: In Palghar, Maharashtra, the police took major action and seized the banned intoxicating substance Mefedron (MD). Its estimated price has been estimated at around Rs 2.5 crore. According to the report, the accused used to manufacture drugs in his own house, whatever custody has been taken.
Media report says that the police had received information that an illegal drug is being made in a house located in Boisar area of Palghar. On the basis of this information, the police formed a special team. After this, a raid action was taken with the party force on Friday night. The police reached the spot and recovered drug making equipment including Mefedron.
The police said about the matter that the name of the arrested accused is Aman Murad, who is a post-graduate in chemistry). The accused had made his house a base to make drugs lab. Here he used to prepare Mefedron illegally and used to spend it in the market.
DSP Vikas Naik of Palghar told the media that a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. The police is now trying to find out whether the accused had any companions, and whom he was supplying drugs and where did he bring the raw material for it.
The police is conducting a detailed investigation into this entire case. Officials say that drug smuggling is being strictly monitored in Palghar and surrounding areas. The police is also trying to find out whether this accused was part of a big drug syndicate or was alone doing it illegal.
